In the universe of images we encounter in twenty-first century life, so many have expectations of us as viewers, consumers, or as products. I need to create images that expect nothing and give only what the viewer/experiencer wants or needs. No judgment, nostalgia, agenda, or query. Only a rest for your weary eyes, a rest to recognize nature’s patterns in this digital age. I create oil paintings on canvas or linen and watercolors on paper. My subjects are colors and shapes. I paint the movement, repetition, depth, and perspective of natural objects and phenomena.

Austin TX by way of Dallas TX, Mendocino County CA, Portland OR, and beyond. Teacher by day, singer by night, painter all the time. Missing my dog Benny. Planning art travels and travails. Making little things and big things. Eating chips and queso.

I’m interested in making art all the time, so if you have an idea, let me know about it on the contact page.
